Message credits explained

WhatsApp charges per conversation through Meta’s Conversations API — each conversation is a 24-hour messaging window with a contact. Waply bundles messaging credits into your plan so you don’t need a separate billing relationship with Meta. Each plan includes a monthly credit allocation that covers WhatsApp conversation charges:
  • Starter: $25 in AI and messaging credits per month
  • Growth: $100 in AI and messaging credits per month
  • Enterprise: Custom allocation set at contract
Credits are shared across all channels in your workspace. When you start a WhatsApp conversation, the cost of that conversation is deducted from your credit balance. Instagram DM, Facebook Messenger, and Webchat conversations don’t carry a per-conversation charge from Meta, so they draw less on your credit balance.
Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle. Credits reset at the start of each billing period. If you regularly exhaust your credits before the month ends, consider upgrading to a higher plan or contacting support to purchase additional credits.
Meta’s conversation pricing varies by country and conversation type (marketing, utility, service, or authentication). Waply applies the current Meta rate at the time the conversation opens. You can view a breakdown of credit usage in Settings > Billing > Credit usage.

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

You can change your plan at any time from Settings > Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately and you’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle — you keep your current plan’s features until then.

Open billing settings

In the left sidebar, click Settings, then select Billing.

Choose a new plan

Click Change plan and select the plan you want to switch to.

Confirm the change

Review the pricing summary and confirm. For upgrades, you’ll see an immediate prorated charge. For downgrades, you’ll see the date your new plan takes effect.
Downgrading to a plan with lower limits — for example, from Growth (5,000 contacts) to Starter (1,000 contacts) — does not delete your data, but you won’t be able to send messages to contacts above the plan limit until you upgrade again. Excess team members and teams will be locked (read-only) if they exceed the new plan’s limits.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings > Billing > Cancel subscription. Your account remains active through the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days, giving you time to export contacts, conversations, and analytics before they are permanently deleted.
Before cancelling, export your data from the Analytics and Contacts sections. Go to Contacts > Export and Analytics > Export to download CSV files of your records.

Yes. Both the Starter and Growth plans include a 7-day free trial. You get full access to all features on the plan during the trial period so you can test automation, broadcasts, and the AI Agent with real conversations before committing. Enterprise trials are available on request — contact sales to arrange access.
No. You can start your free trial on the Starter or Growth plan without entering any payment information. You’ll only be asked for a credit card when your trial ends and you choose to continue with a paid plan.
Your plan includes a monthly credit balance that covers WhatsApp conversation fees charged by Meta. Each WhatsApp conversation (a 24-hour window with a contact) is deducted from your credit balance at the current Meta rate for your region. After that, your workspace enters a 30-day grace period during which your data is retained but the account is inactive. At the end of the grace period, all data — contacts, conversations, automation flows, and analytics — is permanently deleted. Export everything you need before the grace period ends.
